I can draw (when the mood strikes)
I write (mostly poetry & short stories)
I took up beading to prove I could do better than the plastic bead bracelet I got and was HOOKED!
I am finally selling my jewelry for the 1st time (and I'm nervous about it and excited at the same time)
I like learning at least one new thing a day
1- I have 4 dogs and 2 cats
2- My studio has the Serenity logo painted as mural on the wall
3- I love to bead while listening to podcasts
I love the sea deeply, it's in my blood I think... perhaps because I'm a Navy brat? My daddy was in the Navy for 21 years. I have an older half brother whose mother is Scottish and he grew up in Scotland. We only first made contact for the first time when I was heavily pregnant with my second daughter (she'll be 4 next month). He was my long lost brother... thank you Google. I have a younger brother as well, that I grew up with. He's younger but bigger, as in almost a foot bigger. I'm the runt of my family. I love chocolate and coffee. I love to write, to read, to sing and, of course, to bead. I hate cleaning the bathroom more than just about anything. I'm allergic to birds... the whole bird. Inside, outside... all of it. Can't eat it, be around its feathers, have eggs, have anything made with eggs... if egg/poultry touch my skin it blisters quickly. If I eat it... well, think peanut allergy. I have loved William Shakespeare's plays since I was seven years old and my first novel that same year was The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. I have three children, two girls and a boy. I love my husband. I love my children... oh, and I love the rain. Good thing since I've lived in the Pac NW most of my life :)
I'm a mother of 2 boys, one is 29 and married, the other is almost 25. They are both doing volunteer work (along with my dil) in New York. My hubby and I sold our business about 4 years ago, and I do volunteer work plus when I have some extra time I like to make stained glass, mosaics and fused glass kreationz and beaded/wire jewelry. I love nature and a lot of my things are inspired or created for feeding wildlife and decorating my/your yard and garden.
I love Hawaii. The last time I was there --on the first evening -- I ran along the beach digging my feet into the sand. I love the sound of the lapping waves and the feel of sea spray on my checks and most of all watching the sun set over the ocean and leaving a skyful of pink orange magenta. Oh, and then there's the mai tai.
I am a messy beader, clayer, dabbler in metals with lots of guilt but not enough to clean up the mess. I am slowly taking over the house room by room and am lucky to have a tolerant supportive hubby.
I have a day job that enables me to explore being an artist. I want to succeed but a part of me is afraid. I never want my jewelry and bead making to feel like a job.
Proud mother of 3 great kids and wife of the greatest man ever ~ certified Craps dealer..never did it though ~ I hate house cleaning too! I love the beach...I hate snakes...I love cooking really good food....& I'm a breast cancer survivor...two years now! Woop Woop! Love your new blog!

I love my family, the great outdoors, the beach, vintage jewelry, buying beads, collecting beads, making jewelry, many kinds of crafting, and learning new techniques.
